XPAT Assessment (Evaluation)

If you want or need to clarify whether a patent specification claims features that you yourself use or if you yourself are planning an application with certain claim features, then the XPAT Assessment module can be used to ensure that these feature relationships can be analyzed and evaluated in detail as part of a feature analysis.

Mark characteristics

A patent document can be transferred directly from the XPAT database to the XPAT Assessment Module. There you have a mask available, in which you can color-code individual features by marking / clicking. These colored markings are transferred in citation form to the table and for clarification one can assign own designations for the characteristics of the selected property rights.

Classify features

In the evaluation table, the individual features can be evaluated in terms of their significance for your own company, and it can be clarified whether you have or have had technology in use yourself with the aid of the feature, or whether the feature has already been claimed in other documents.

Relate features to other, similar documents

If you are satisfied with the selection of features, you can transfer the features to a comparison list (document hit list). In this way, you can evaluate in the hit list document by document which feature is very pronounced, pronounced, less pronounced or not present at all in the document in question. With the appropriate authorization in the system, the evaluation can be viewed at any time. Valuable and detailed insights can be gained from this, which form an outstanding and comprehensive basis for both internal decisions and patent disputes.
